Ngu Mei Cui

Summary

Ngu Mei Cui graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2025. She is currently dedicated to art education, conducting classes for children, teenagers, and adults, while continuing to develop her own practice in expressive art at her studios. Passionate about nurturing the art ecosystem in Sibu, Mei Cui hopes to inspire younger generations to recognize the possibilities, creative potential, and career opportunities within the art industry. Through teaching and creating, she aims to make art more accessible and meaningful to the community. Together with her partner, Dr Clara Ling, who is based in Kuala Lumpur, she presented an immersive exhibition titled “Encounter” in Sibu in 2025. The exhibition explored connections between people, experiences, and artistic expressions, marking an important contribution to the local contemporary art scene.
