Summary
During the closing ceremony celebration of the Faith Formation Year in my church in 2014, I took part in the open air choir with a few hundred other fellow Catholics. The hymns we sang for the glory of the Heavenly Father was backed by the orchestral musicians on modern musical instruments mixed with Sarawak tradition musical instruments such as the cymbals, gongs and sape.
It inspired in me wondrous images of the heavenly hosts singing their songs of praise. In my painting, the swirls of the multifarious colours represent our voices lifted up to the heavens from the earth, joining together to form the colours of benediction of the sky.
