The Land of The Hornbill

Summary

The hornbill is sitting on a platform taking care of the resources of Sarawak. The hornbill itself symbolizes the people of Sarawak. This sculpture explains that the people of Sarawak is being represented by the hornbill where we all make effort to protect our natural resources from harm’s way or being exploited unethically. The sculpture is positioned in a way it is overlooking the waterfront and it is facing towards the river perching majestically and proudly while defending its territory. The water fountain beneath it flows peacefully towards the Sarawak river and it shows that Sarawak is protected as long as we are united.
