Summary

Amy Kho, a talented artist, was born in Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia, in 1955. Her artistic journey began after retiring from a fulfilling career as a teacher in 2010. In 2017, she embarked on a new chapter by immersing herself in the world of oil painting under the guidance of mentors Teng Hua and Ricky Hii. The following year, in 2018, she expanded her artistic horizons further by delving into Chinese Ink Painting under the mentorship of PJK Shirley Chu.

Beyond her creative pursuits, Amy Kho’s hobbies encompass a wide range of artistic activities, including painting, handicrafts, paper cutting, and dancing. Her deep involvement in the art community is reflected in her membership in several prestigious organizations, including the Sibu Contemporary Arts Association (SCAA), Sarawak Artist Society (SAS), National Art Gallery, Malaysian Female Artists Society (PPWM), Malaysian Artists Society (PPM), and the International Association of Creative Arts (IACA).

In 2022, Amy Kho achieved a significant milestone in her artistic career by hosting her first solo exhibition titled “Beautiful Nature” in Chinese Ink Painting at the Sibu State Library in Sarawak. Additionally, she has been an active participant in joint exhibitions since 2020, showcasing her artwork in various locations such as Sibu, Kuching, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Malacca, and Johor Baharu. Amy Kho’s artistic journey is a testament to her dedication to the arts and her continuous pursuit of creative expression.
