Born in Miri, Anne Koh finds much inspiration from the amazing talent and musical expressiveness, she experiences in live classical concerts. The brilliant conductors conjuring life to the great symphonies and concertos radiate huge energy and expressions which she aspires to capture onto canvas. Many of her paintings are of her twin nephews who have brought her to this wonderful world of music, and this new world is her focus and joy. Both are Australian cellists who have performed in many of the world’s prestigious venues. The movements and emotions of the music she hears are captured through her colours and strokes. Her works are a mix of abstract, expressionism and Impressionism. In addition, she has also found great excitements in water colour paintings.
