Chan Feng Kuan

Summary

Feng Kuan, hails from the Land Below the Wind, was born in 1953. She has made Kuching, Sarawak her home since 1980. Painting has always been her passion but she never seems to have the chance to fully immerse herself in it. After her retirement, she facilitated her interest and passion in art by taking up art lessons under the tutelage of Mr. Sim Chap Hin.

She started off with water colours, Chinese ink paintings and calligraphy. She then elevated her skills to acrylic painting. She is a member of Sarawak Artists Society since 2015. She actively participates in joint exhibitions like the Mid-Autumn Chinese Art & Calligraphy Art Exhibition held in Kuching, Artists of Tomorrow Exhibition 2010, Hilton Art Exhibition in conjunction with the Rain Forest Music Festival in 2017 and various annual shows with the Sarawak Artists Society.
