Datin Chang Chor Shar

Summary

Datin Chang Chor Shar is a fourth generation painter specializing in Chinese, water color, oil, batik and acrylic painting. Her great grand father Wu Ling was a famous and award winning painter in China during the Qin Dynasty.

She learned Ling-Nan Chinese Painting in Kuching from the late Mr. Chin Kee, a renowned master, a great teacher and mentor. She has explored many forms of contemporary arts that is unique to her own style. She is a life member of Sarawak Artists Society, life member of Society Aterlier Sarawak and member of Persatuan Seni Tulis Malaysia. She has exhibited her art in many exhibitions throughout her career. Her painting have been collected locally and abroad.

She is well travelled and has lived in China and Australia for over twenty years. She is a keen gardener and plays Guqin and Guzheng, both are traditional Chinese Musical Instrument in her free time.
