Ng Paik San

Summary

Paik San was born in Ipoh, Perak and is presently residing in Kuching, Sarawak. Paik San started her art lessons when she was only 10 years old. She is grateful that her mother drove her to Madam Zhou Yan Mei’s house every weekend for art lessons. She was with Madam Zhou for around nine years before she left Malaysia for Australia to further her tertiary education. Madam Zhou is a great artist who taught her all the basic skills and drawing techniques for water colour as well as still life artworks. Since then, drawing has always been one of her best hobbies.

Paik San’s artworks are mostly inspired by the beauty of flowers and natural environment on the Borneo Island. Besides, some of her sketches also focus on the beauty of those old streets surrounding Kuching city areas. Paik San is presently a freelance lecturer and the co-founder of Ingenious Academic Centre.
Painting is always a pleasure task in her life where she advocates that her drawings can deliver love, peace and passion to those who have seen or owned pieces of her artworks. She has been involved in charity works with some NGOs since 2019 by donating her artworks for fund raising activities. To her, the happiness and inner satisfaction that she has gained through these activities are beyond words.
