Summary

The ancient ceramic jars found in Sarawak came from China during the Song Dynasty (10-12th century). The Dayak were impressed by the jars because of the beautiful dragon patterns whirling all around them. The jars were highly valued as symbols of wealth and status among the Dayak. The jars were handed down from one generation to another as heirlooms.
