Summary

The Rhinoceros Hornbill (Burung Kenyalang) was believed by the Dayak (natives of Sarawak) to have mythical powers and they are symbols of power over nature. It’s considered good luck to them when one flies over the house. Their warriors wore the hornbill’s beak as a necklace because it gave them power and influence. The feathers from the tail were harvested to decorate ceremonial headdresses and weapons so that they can be stronger than their opponents.
